My Project DescriptionThis year I decided to dive into a Project Life album. However, I'm titling mine: Year in My Life. I didn't want to be stuck in the sense that I NEED to do a spread weekly. I know this is not what project life is completely, but I feel like there were so many unspoken standards behind it, so titling it my own way gives me more freedom. I'm also not working with one specific paper line. Instead I will combine the Clique Kits with papers in my stash and my own designs to really speak my personality. Finally, if I don't get a spread done weekly, so be it. Some months may be one spread for the whole month, I want the freedom of doing my own thing.
My ProjectsSo saying that, lets start with January and what I've create so far. I decided I want to start and end the month with a 12x12 layout. Highlight my FAVORITE two memories of that month. These don't have to be huge events, but just something I found extra special.
Here is my first 12x12 layout for January.
Supplies: Carta Bella - Wildflower (12x12 - Field of Flowers, 6x6 paper pad); Studio Calico - Gold Letter Stickers; LaceyBug Creations (Flair, Camera Die cut, Arrow printable); Washi; Twine; Gems; Felt Ribbon; Wood Veneer.
And I've also completed some spreads for the month already. I used the Carta Bella - Wildflower collection and coordinating embellishments, put together by kit coordinator Gia Lau. I also incorporated some of my own personal designed embellishments as well.
Beyond my YIML (year in my life) album, I created a layout using a photo from my wedding this past summer (photo taken by the TALENTED and amazing Bernadette Pollard). I was inspired by the feminine papers and embellishments and felt that our crazy expressions really fit the paper line.
Supplies: Carta Bella - Wildflower (12x12 - 4x6 Journal Card; 6x6 paper pad); Fancy Pants - Corrugated Paper; Bella Blvd - Feather; Silhouette - die cut feather; LaceyBug Creations (Flair, label printables); Studio Calico: Gold Letter Chipboard, Wood Veneer Camera, gold letter stickers; Lace Trim; Fabric; Peach Cardstock; Gold sequin trim; Roller stamp.
Freebies and MoreI'm not stopping with just inspiration! Check out the Clique Kits blog for an exclusive FREE printable! I was inspired by the Carta Bella Wildflower kit when I was designing them and added my own personal flair to them. Honestly, they can go with all your scrapbooking projects and various paper lines.
Speaking of Flair, I also have the flair I designed to coordinate available for purchase in my Etsy shop! Head over there right now to snag your flair before they are gone.
